Flocc Logs and Tablets

The most difficult treatment applications are those requiring very low polymer dosages and/or where the proper treatment point is away from utilities. For these types of difficult treatment situations Zeroday has incorporated and developed Z Flocc™ Log and Z Flocc™ Tab product lines of gel and dry flocculant product forms.

These products provide effective passive water and wastewater treatment, requiring no utilities and yet will give consistent results with little operator attention. Treatment is just a matter of placing logs or tablets in the water or wastewater stream flow where the polymer slowly dissolves and flocculates the solids in the water. Use of these products is straightforward and adaptable to your treatment situation:

  • Secure logs by rebar or placed in cages on the bottom of a stream flow.
  • Suspending logs or tablets into the water flow by a rope that has been manufactured integral to the product.
  • Placing a basket filled with log or tablet polymers into the flow.
  • Feed specially made Z Flocc Tab Strings in a pipe, hang in a water stream or lay in a channel so that the water flows around the polymer.

Several flocculant shapes, forms and packages have been developed to cover the multitude of potential treatment requirements our customers require. These include:

Large Z Flocc Logs
Dimensions are 9″ diameter x 20″ long cylinders composed of gel flocculant. These dissolve very slowly but the super high polymer molecular weight (long chain length) makes them particularly effective in certain applications.

Smaller Z Flocc Logs
Dimensions are 4″ diameter x 16″ long cylinders of gel flocculant. These products dissolve more rapidly, adding more flocculant to the water flow. The smaller logs have a broader range of chemistry and molecular weight options, allowing more precise flocculant chemistry selection for the application.

Z Flocc Tabs
“Hockey puck” shaped dry polymer form with dimensions of 1 or 2″ diameter by 1″ thickness. Z Flocc Tabs are available in a wide range of flocculant chemistry options to cover any treatment need. These are supplied loose in a standard 5 gallon pail and are either placed in a basket or in a fishnet bag that can be hung in the water.

The Z Flocc Tabs tablets are placed in a permeable sock that can be placed in a stream or inserted into an enclosed pipe through wye or tee pipe fittings.
