| Our small scale, automated dry polymer make
down system is specifically designed for
customers that will use up to 100-pounds of dry
polymer per day. Economics, automatic control,
dependability and ease of operation are some of
the benefits of this system. Years of experience
with dry polymer operation combined with the
knowledge of the leading manufacture of watersoluble
polymer is incorporated into every
design.
This unit meets the requirements of facilities
with limited space and polymer needs. The
entire make-down system is positioned on two
compact modular skids.
The selected polymer solution application pump
delivers a properly hydrated and aged polymer
solution to the process as follows: |
- Meters the dry powder with a volumetric
feeder
- Disperses the polymer with a specially designed wetting weir to prevent agglomeration and “fish eyes”.
- Proper solution agitation in the mix tank.
- Automatically transfers the hydrated polymer solution to the solution tank.
- Level monitoring and control in both tank modules to manage solution make down and transfer.
- Automation by a small discrete Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
