Z ChemGear D1500 Flocculant Mixer Shipment to Simplot Pocatello

Mainland Machinery shipped a Z ChemGear D1500 dry flocculant mixer to JR Simplot’s Don phosphoric acid production plant in Pocatello, ID. The mixer is being incorporated in an existing flocculant mixing system where the mixer will replace the present mixer and be tied to the existing solution day tank and feed pumps. Following are the mixer details:

  • Automatic mix capacity of 1500 lb/day (680 kg/day) a specialty flocculant at 0.7% concentration.
  • Supersacks filling a large hopper.
  • Standard Z ChemGear funnel-water eductor flocculant wetting and dispersion mechanism.
  • Full 316 stainless steel construction with Schedule 80 piping.
  • PLC controlled with HMI interface for mixer setup and operation management.
  • Optional hopper load cell system for accurate hopper inventory monitoring and is interfaced with auger motor VFD for accurate concentration control.
